• One key service that our Members can expect
in the event of an oil spill incident is sound technical advice. Oil spills
are our business, and our commitment to you is the provision of technical
support to help you deal with the situation in the best possible way.
Development and Training All staff joining OSRL/EARL are now required to complete an intensive 12-week programme to introduce them to the business and the basics of oil spill response before moving into their respective departments. During 2006, there have been further developments in the training to introduce the concept of competency based training where the performance of staff is monitored and their competence assessed. A team of trained internal Assessors are engaged to oversee this process. In addition an educationalist has been working within the Training Department to develop best practices of teaching and learning skills. By adopting such a rigorous approach to training, OSRL/EARL stands apart in the industry in ensuring the quality of its staff for its customers. |
